Ambulance Victoria engaged Opturion for a project with four key deliverables, including the creation of  shift pattern options that had the lowest acceptable fatigue risk levels and that followed work guidelines developed by the Alertness CRC.

Due to their intensive, time-critical projects NWPA required a comprehensive fatigue risk management system that included roster scheduling software to design, assess and manage rosters.

Alternative Freight Services aimed to minimise the long term impacts brought by freight costs, inefficient internal freight and supply chain processes. They approached Opturion in the hopes of integrating our DTO with their existing platform.

Opturion was tasked with developing an optimiser that assisted Allied Express' operators in their decision process, so that they make better decisions quicker and  maintain or improve on-time performance (customer service).

To further improve on their production efficiency, Austral sought out Opturion’s services to create a DTO based on a model of their route optimisation problem, which contains the decisions needed to generate a schedule.

Schneider’s Australian operations contacted Opturion investigate the cost-effectiveness of their transport operation, and to determine if it would be beneficial to change to a different operating and cost model.

Opturion solved the problem of cutting rebars in a shearline in the optimal way, considering setup times, yield, and re-use of offcut for NatSteel in Malaysia

Opturion engaged Sealed Air to reduce production scheduling on the manufacture of Cryovac shrink bags. As a part of this, they improved their printing, conversion and labour force optimisers, so that it could work together seamlessly.

Forecasting

Opturion through its contractor Mondo, to provide a forecasting and  planning system to manage meter faults, replacements, and repairs. The project commenced in September 2018 and  went live in December.

Royal Automobile Club of Victoria

In order for RACV to be efficient and deliver customer service levels, Opturion created a new forecasting tool based on Artificial Intelligence. The forecasting tool was shown to be more than 95% accurate.

 

Mobile workforce Optimisation

Opturion was tasked with developing an integratable software  (Opturion is run on the cloud) that provided additional decision support capabilities to increase the efficiency of the existing booking system instead of replacing it. 

 

Logistics Optimisation

TOLL - NIKE

Toll and Opturion worked together to reduce load in Nike's warehouse and thereby increased effective capacity. The existing system was tested and identified 5% of orders that could be bypassed, thus reducing load by 5%.

Railway Transport Optimisation

 

Opturion has been working with Hitachi to provide an optimal control algorithm to augment its world-leading AutoHaul® technology and has created a detailed dynamic model and optimiser (Optimal train Control - OTC) of the train.
